The big trend of the sports halls? Leggings. We left the fleece jogging at home to hang out on Sundays and we arrive at the abdo-buttocks class in our most beautiful 80's aerobics outfit. At the same time, the leggings are comfortable and allow us to see the results of our hard work day after day. But rather than putting on just any pair of shorts, here are a few tips to help you choose the right sports leggings:
The material: depending on the sport, you need more or less support. For yoga, pilates or stretching, cotton leggings are sufficient. For bodybuilding or cardio you need a compression technology stocking to increase blood circulation during the effort. Lightweight, breathable synthetic fibers such as spandex, polyester or polyamide are perfect for intense workouts. Finally, all sports leggings must contain elastane.
Belt size: the more intense the workout, the higher the belt should be to ensure a good fit. Sports that require more breathing can be done with a low waist that leaves the diaphragm free.
The weaving: nothing worse than to notice after a session on a bike that our underwear was visible. To avoid drama, make sure your leggings have a quality weave, even if it's black.
Seamless: Choose seamless leggings with a second-skin effect, especially for sports like yoga and dance that require a lot of freedom of movement. Wide waistband leggings also allow you to slim your waist and feel more confident during your workouts.
