Choosing an adapted sports outfit

Choosing an adapted sports outfit

You can wear the sportswear you like as long as you follow a few rules to improve your comfort: avoid cotton, dress too wide or too tight, banish street shoes. The main thing is to feel comfortable in your sportswear and to wear comfortable and practical clothes. From tops to shoes and underwear, all your clothes must be suitable for the activity you are doing.
Have you just joined a fitness club or would like to start exercising at home? In any case, you need to find an appropriate outfit, adapted to the activity you are going to practice. To do so, follow our advice...

WHAT TO ADOPT
The main thing is to feel comfortable in your sportswear and to wear comfortable and practical clothing. From tops to shoes to underwear, all your clothing should be appropriate for the activity you are doing.

Our tips for choosing the right outfit:
- prefer breathable materials to wick away perspiration.
- if you perspire heavily, you should know that there are antibacterial materials available to help fight bad odours.
- try before you buy to choose the clothes you are most comfortable in
- Pay special attention to your shoes. They must be adapted so as not to hurt your feet and be equipped with thick, non-slip soles (at least 1.5 cm thick). Equip yourself with multi-sport shoes if you regularly practice different activities. For classes with impacts (Body attack, step...), choose sneakers with front and back cushioning.

Wear an adapted bra or, for more comfort, a sports bra to support your breasts so that they don't sag. This type of underwear reduces on average the vertical movements that the chest undergoes during effort by 70%, thus limiting the tension on the ligaments. Prefer elastane for comfort and anti-perspirant materials.
