The temperature is below 10°C but you still want to
Continue to run or practice your sport outdoors. Jacket, shoes, material... Follow our advice on the equipment to practice sport in the winter period.
No matter the weather, you continue to do sports outside. To avoid getting sick, cover yourself with warm and waterproof materials. However, be careful not to overdo it with the number of layers.
Three layers for the upper body
Start by covering your body, especially your torso. For the first layer, wear a fabric very close to the body, such as a compression t-shirt made of synthetic material that wicks away sweat. Avoid cotton T-shirts because they keep perspiration away, which quickly makes you feel cold.
The second layer is the one that will keep you warm. Wear a blouson or hood or a technical material, designed for sports. Contrary to what you might think, fleece materials keep you warm but absorb water. Like cotton, they will cool you down.
It is finally time to move on to the third layer. The first two layers protect you from the cold, so wear a hooded blouson or you will overheat. The ideal is to wear something light, which protects you from wind and rain. Opt for a windbreaker, with a hood if necessary.
